First unoffical King Sutton visitors
Janet and her boyfriend who live across the road from Si’s parents in Kings Sutton decided to do another whirlwind trip around NZ, and one November day popped into Christchurch for a days visit.
It was great to see them, made me feel quite sad as a little bit of home had come to NZ.
Picking them up from the airport and dropping them off at the hotel was great, followed by a quick tour of Cathedral Square (coffee!), quick walk round the city then off to meet Si who has managed to slope of work early that Friday. On to Sumner to the café down on the waterfront for glass of Sauv and catch up and find out what Janet had been up to on her travels.
That night we went out for dinner in the city, followed by a few beers on The Strip (place in CHCH where all the bars and restaurants are). Had a great night!
Next day, quick blast over the Port Hills doing the touristy thing (pre run through from when the parents Nice visits later in Feb), onto lunch at the She Café in Governers Bay.
Finally, it was time to take them back to the airport, Janet with our Xmas cards for back home. Janet made me realize that sometimes we are lucky to be in NZ when all does not seem like it’s going well. Just taking in the views of the area and everything that’s on our doorstep, does not compare to the likes of Gosport or Pompey!
